Description

The new Crowne Plaza Vilamoura hotel has an excellent beach front location next to the Casino and a short walk from the many bars and restaurants that surround the marina.

The hotel was fully refurbished and decorated in a contemporary style in 2011 and offers a total of 327 rooms and suites, all with a private balcony and panoramic view.

One of the best features of the Crowne Plaza is the size of the rooms, all of them are spacious which is ideal if you've got your golf clubs with you! In addition the hotel has some excellent facilities including the very impressive Almond Tree Wellness Spa.

AM’s Opinion

The Crowne Plaza is an impressive hotel with a great position, close enough to walk to the Marina and in one of the quieter parts of Vilamoura on the beach front. This hotel also offers some of the best value of all the hotels in Vilamoura and for many periods is cheaper than some of the four star hotels in Vilamoura! 

Location

Crowne Plaza Vilamoura is situated 24 km to the west of Faro airport, a driving time of approximately 30 minutes. The hotel is easy to find as it’s located on the beach front close to the Vilamoura marina.

The closest major towns/resorts are:

Quarteira = 2 km
Vale do Lobo = 11 km

Loule = 14 km
Albufeira = 23 km
Portimao = 57 km

Accommodation

The hotel offers a choice of five room categories. The Garden View, Superior and Deluxe rooms are all the same size and have the same specification, however they all have different views as described below. All rooms have balconies.

Garden View Rooms (east facing rooms)
The Garden View rooms are on the lower floors, are east facing and have limited views of the hotels ground.

Superior Rooms (east facing rooms)
The Superior rooms are on higher floors (2nd upwards) are east facing with better views of the surrounding area than the Garden View rooms, with partial side sea views.

Deluxe Room (west facing rooms)

The deluxe rooms are west facing, looking towards the Casino, Vilamoura and with side sea views. 

Junior Suite (sea front room) 

The Junior Suites have a bedroom and a seperate lounge. These rooms are south facing with fulll sea views.

Superior / Deluxe Suites

The Superior / Deluxe rooms are on the top floor of the hotel and have a lounge and guest bathroom on one floor and main bedroom and bathroom on the other floor. These suites are all on the top floor.
