Situated in the southern part of Spain where the mountains of Andalucia converge with the Guadiaro river before they meet the Mediterranean Sea, it’s here that you will find Almenara nestled in the Sotogrande Estate.

It’s also here that you will find Almenara’s impressive 27 hole golf course, the estate also plays home to the private Valderrama, Sotogrande and La Reserva Golf Clubs.

The hotel is designed in the style of an Andalucian village with the rooms detached from the main building. In 2005 the resort completed a major reconstruction of the Spa and golf Clubhouse, which has one of the best views in Andalucia from its terrace.

The hotel has two restaurants, the Gaia is the more formal serving international cuisine located on the first floor of the main building. The Vein Tee Ocho is the more informal golfers club bar and restaurant, it also has a very comfortable lounge area.  

Almenara has a unique location and its special relationship with its neighbouring golf courses means that guests can enjoy access to these private clubs. La Reserva, which is a wonderful course, offers particularly good terms for Almenara guests.

Having hosted several Pro-AM’s on the Almenara and La Reserva courses we can testify to their quality. The hotel is a very pleasant place to stay and the stylish Spa makes it a good venue for parties of golfers and non-golfers.

Almenara is situated 4 km off the A7 / E-15 at junction 130. It’s 24 km from Gibraltar airport and 109 from Malaga.

Accommodation

Standard Twin/Double/Single
Almenara's Standard and Deluxe rooms are he same size; each is very spacious with high, sloping ceilings lined with wood beams. The bathroom design features an African theme that gives an exotic touch to the otherwise Mediterranean décor.

Deluxe Twin/Double/Single
These rooms have the same layout and facilities as the Standard rooms, however they also have views of the golf courses.

Junior Suites
The Junior Suites are much larger rooms with a lounge area with sofa bed, internet access and Playstation.

Suites
The Suites have two bedrooms and a lounge with sofa bed, internet access and Playstation.
