The Amendoeira Golf Resort is located in the centre of the Algarve, 35 minutes from Faro airport and offers a mix of high specification modern apartments & villas with exceptional interior design and excellent facilities.  

The resort is perfect for a golf holiday as it sits within landscaped gardens adjoining two of the Algarve’s finest courses, the Oceanico Faldo & O’Connor Jnr. Both courses are overlooked by the magnificent Amendoeira Clubhouse which is the focal point of the resort. It’s here where breakfast is served, you can enjoy a nice lunch or evening meal, or just relax on the terrace and enjoy the views.

The apartments are complemented by communal swimming pools and children’s pools, and all villas have their own private swimming pools.

The Oceanico Academy 9 hole, par 3, floodlit course and the Amendoeira Golf Academy & Fitting Suite offer state-of-the-art practice facilities. Recreational sports are available at the Amendoeira Sports Club: football, tennis and a gymnasium.

The resort is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty and the Monchique mountains form a stunning backdrop. The resort is close to the historic town of Silves (11km) and coastal town of Armação de Pera (8km) with its sandy beaches, restaurants and bars.

The resort offers two bedroom modern apartments with two bathrooms, fully fitted kitchen and spacious lounge. For groups who require more space, two bedroom apartments with mezzanine are available which include a sofa bed and ensuite with shower. Bigger groups can be accommodated in three, four & five bedroom villas.

All the spacious and modern properties at Amendoeira feature balconies overlooking the gardens. The living rooms come with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and a CD/DVD player.

All accommodation types have excellent facilities including fully equipped kitchens with microwave, dishwasher and washing machine.

AM’s Opinion

The Amendoeira Resort provides high quality accommodation and two very good golf courses. Although the choice of restaurants on the resort is limited to the club house, Silves and Armação de Pera are both within a 15 minute drive and the resort offers great value with daily golf and buggies included in the price.

Location

The resort is located 11km from the historic town of Silves, a 35 minute drive from Faro Airport. The nearest beach is at Armacao de Pera, just over 10 minutes in the car. The resort offers a complimentary shuttle bus to the beach during July and August.
