The Barcelo Montecastillo Golf & Sports Resort is the jewel in the crown of this beautiful golfing region, having hosted the European Tour’s Volvo Masters on five occasions from 1997 – 2001.

The resort has numerous excellent sporting facilities including tennis courts, a Spa and two top class football pitches, however it’s the Jack Nicklaus designed 18 hole golf course that is the main attraction.

The hotel sits overlooking the 18^th fairway and its 124 bedrooms combine a modern, elegant design while preserving a classical them that defines the hotel.

Jerez city centre is just a 15 minute drive to the west and Jerez airport is just 15 minutes to the north. Seville airport, which has many international flights is 65 minutes away.

AM’s Opinion

We’ve visited this resort on a couple of occasions and have always been impressed with the quality of the golf course and the hotel. It is also one of the best value resorts in Spain and offers the option of upgrading to All Inclusive. If you like motor sport, the famous Jerez race track is next door.

15 minutes from Jerez airport, 55 minutes from Seville airport, 75 minutes from Gibraltar airport and 2 hours 10 minutes from Malaga airport.
