AM’s Opinion

You wouldn’t initially think of Sicily as a golf destination, but Verdura offers the discerning golfer a new experience, something different; with two excellent golf courses on site, wonderful Sicilian food and wine and service that is second to none, I’m sure this resort will become one that everyone will want to experience.

Verdura Golf & Spa Resort is located on the south coast of Sicily near the seaside town of Sciacca and 75 miles south from Palermo Airport.

The closest towns/historical sites are:

Sciacca = 8 miles
Agrigento (Greek Temples declared protected Heritage by Unesco) = 30 miles

Accommodation

The hotel offers a choice of seven room categories; Deluxe, Superior Deluxe, Junior Suite, Grand Suite, Classic Suite, Ambassador Suite and Presidential Suite. All 203 rooms have their own uninterrupted view across the sparkling Mediterranean Sea from a private terrace.  The rooms are in two distinct types of building, Courtyard and Landscape, which are woven subtly into the landscape and offer a real sense of privacy and space. Natural materials such as stone, sand, wood and cane echo the traditional architecture of Sicily, and rooms make imaginative use of both outdoor and indoor space. Bedrooms feature four-poster wooden beds, polished concrete floors and artful Italian lighting, and are decorated with locally fired earthenware. The bathrooms are naturally lit with stone vanity tops, and some have outside courtyards with lemon trees.

All rooms have been designed in a fresh and contemporary Sicilian style with carefully chose artwork and fabrics in rich, warm and restful hues. All bathrooms are spacious and finished in stone with a separate shower cubicle. Exclusive Italian bathroom products are provided, in addition to bathrobes for guests' comfort.

All rooms have individually-controlled air-conditioning, a work desk, two telephone lines and Broadband internet connection, wi-fi, a beach bag and towels. Guests will benefit from facilities such as a private dining menu, well-stocked in-room bar, satellite television, security safe, portable professional hairdryer and plenty of storage space

Deluxe Rooms

Deluxe rooms measure approximately 40 sq m and incorporate a king-sized bed. The Deluxe rooms all feature uninterrupted sea views and each has a private terrace with seating. Please note that this room can accommodate two adults, or one adult and one child. A baby cot can also be accommodated.
