The South course has two contrasting nine hole layouts. The front nine is pretty straight forward, on a relatively open piece of land and provides a good warm up for the much tougher back nine. The back nine is mostly played around the wetland areas with narrow fairways and some real fun holes.

The North course is marginally shorter than the South and is a more open layout. Parts of the course are on a slightly higher piece of land and provide stunning views of the inland waterway and coast. It's a really good test of golf and will challenge players of all abilities.

El Rompido is situated 104 km to the west of Faro airport, a driving time of approximately 1 hour and 130 km to the south west of Seville airport, a driving time of approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.
