This course just gets better and better after each hole. The opening stretch is pretty straight forward, however the back nine is tougher with plenty of bunkers to avoid. There’s plenty of room off the tees on most holes and as with its sister course Alamos, there’s a great feeling of playing golf through some of the Algarve’s prettiest countryside.

ALAMOS

18 Holes, Par 71
The Alamos courses sits to the north of its sister course Morgado, and has the more picturesque location with views of the mountains and local vineyards. There’s also a little more water to avoid on this course and none more so than on the first two holes. The course also is a little shorter and tighter without being too tough and is a really enjoyable layout.

Both courses share the same clubhouse, a rustic design with lovely views over the large practice ground, Morgado course and hills to the south. If you enjoy a glass of wine, we recommend you try a drop from the estates vineyard with your lunch!

Location

The two courses at Morgado are situated to the north of Portimao, 3 km from junction 5 on the  A22 (IC4). The resort is 68 km to the west of Faro airport, a drive of approximately 45 minutes.

From the CS Sao Rafael Suites hotel it’s a drive of 38 km, which should take approximately 30 minutes.
